Bosch Appliance
Repair in DFW

A Bosch repair often starts at the dishwasher: water in the tub, E24 on the panel, dishes that won’t dry. ALAS repairs Bosch dishwashers, refrigerators, cooking appliances and compact laundry for Dallas–Fort Worth homeowners, and you get a written estimate first.

Local Repair for Bosch Appliances

Bosch is the home appliance brand of BSH, a Bosch Group company that also sells Thermador and Gaggenau in North America. Dishwashers come first on this page, and their drain codes are a good place to start: E22 for a blocked filter, E24 when that blockage stops the drain, E25 for a jammed pump or loose pump cover, and E23 when the pump itself is at fault. Refrigerators and ice makers come next, then wall ovens, ranges and cooktops, and finally the 24-inch compact washers and dryers Bosch sells here. ALAS starts every visit with the steps from Bosch’s own support pages, tests the part behind the code, and gives you the price in writing before anything is repaired. ALAS is independent of Bosch and BSH and has served homeowners and rental properties around Dallas–Fort Worth since 2019.

More About Bosch Appliance Repair

Bosch’s Warranty, or a Local Repair?

Bosch’s coverage begins with a 1-year limited warranty on the whole appliance, parts and labor included, for every major product. On dishwashers it goes further: parts-only coverage on the microprocessor or circuit board and on the racks in years 2 through 5, and lifetime parts-only coverage for rust-through on the inner tub liner and the stainless door. Built-in refrigerators add a parts-only second year and electronics coverage in years 3 through 5 (Bosch warranty (opens in a new tab)).

Inside those windows, Bosch is the first call. Once they close, the choice is yours. ALAS is independent, gives you a written estimate before work and backs the repair with its own warranty, and if we find a part Bosch still covers, we tell you so. Our dishwasher, refrigerator, ice maker, oven and cooktop, microwave, washer and dryer pages cover what applies to each.

Four Bosch Drain Codes, Four Different Fixes

Bosch splits a draining problem into separate codes. E22 says the filter is blocked. E24 says the dishwasher isn’t draining because that filter is blocked, and Bosch also names a kinked hose and a disposal knockout plug. E25 is a blocked drain pump or a pump cover that is loose or missing. E23 is an issue with the pump itself, blocked, clogged or faulty.

The first two are usually owner fixes. E25 often is too, using Bosch’s spoon method to lift the pump cover. E23, and any drain code that returns after a clean filter and a clear pump, is where a technician comes in. Start with the E24 guide or the E25 guide.

Bosch, Thermador and Gaggenau

BSH describes itself as a Bosch Group company. In North America, BSH Home Appliances Corporation, headquartered in Irvine, California, markets products under three names: Bosch, Thermador and Gaggenau (BSH Home Appliances (opens in a new tab)).

Bosch’s own range runs from the 100 Series through the 300, 500 and 800 Series to Benchmark. Bosch’s US support articles describe codes by appliance type, not by series, so an E24 means the same thing on a 300 Series dishwasher as on an 800 Series. We confirm parts against the E-Nr on your rating plate before ordering.

Bosch Compact Laundry Is Its Own Category

The washers and dryers Bosch sells in the US are 24-inch compact models. The dryers are either condensation units or heat pump units, and Bosch’s 500 Series pair is ventless and can be stacked with a stacking kit that Bosch sells separately.

Because there is no outside vent, a slow-drying Bosch dryer calls for different checks than a vented full-size machine: the lint filter, the condenser and the condensation drain. Our Bosch dryer repair and Bosch washer repair pages explain what to look at before booking.

General frequently asked questions

Dishwashers of every series, French-door and bottom-freezer refrigerators and their ice makers, wall ovens, ranges, gas and induction cooktops, over-the-range and built-in microwaves, microwave drawers, speed ovens, and the 24-inch compact washers and dryers Bosch sells in the US.

No. ALAS has no connection to Bosch or BSH Home Appliances; we are a local, independent shop. We work on Bosch appliances once Bosch’s warranty is over, or whenever an owner prefers a local technician, and our repairs carry our own written warranty.

While your appliance is inside Bosch’s warranty, start with Bosch, which arranges its own repairs through its support line and website. After that, either route works. A local company can usually fit a visit around your week and gives you one written price before starting.

BSH, a Bosch Group company. In North America BSH Home Appliances Corporation, based in Irvine, California, sells appliances under the Bosch, Thermador and Gaggenau names (BSH Home Appliances (opens in a new tab)).

Bosch points to food debris clogging the filter or the drain pump. Clean the filter, check the pump cover beneath it and look at the hose. Our Bosch dishwasher repair page walks through E22, E23, E24 and E25.

In Bosch’s words, the dishwasher isn’t draining properly because its drain filter is blocked. See our E24 guide.

For its major appliances, Bosch gives 1 year on the entire appliance, parts and labor included. Dishwashers add parts-only coverage on electronics and racks in years 2 to 5 and lifetime rust-through coverage on the tub liner and stainless door; built-in refrigerators add parts-only coverage in later years (Bosch warranty (opens in a new tab)).

Bosch calls it the E-Nr, and it is printed on a rating plate on the appliance. Bosch’s model number guide (opens in a new tab) shows where that plate sits for each appliance type.

Yes, along with the 100, 300 and 500 Series. The series changes features and finishes, but the codes in Bosch’s support articles are not split by series.

That comes down to which part failed and how long it takes to replace, so the price follows the diagnosis, in writing, before work begins. For today’s visit pricing, call (469) 638-3215 and the office will walk you through it.

Each Bosch repair carries our 90-day warranty, or 6 months for ALAS members. Sealed-system work, meaning compressors and refrigerant, is covered for 12 months for everyone. You will find the terms written on your invoice.
