Nothing is repaired until you approve it

(469) 638-3215A cherry pit, a sliver of glass or a twist tie in the wrong spot is enough to stop a Bosch drain pump. Bosch shows owners how to open the pump cover and look for it.
Bosch states that E25 indicates the drain pump is blocked, or that the drain pump cover is loose or missing. The cover sits at the bottom of the tub beneath the filter, so the filter has to come out first. Bosch’s method is to pry the cover up with a spoon until it clicks, grip it, pull upward until you feel resistance and then forward to remove it. Look into the pump opening and lift out debris and standing water with a sponge, keeping in mind Bosch’s caution that some debris may be sharp. Your owner’s manual has the drawing for your model. What owners typically notice.
Bosch’s two causes, and what sits behind them.
Turn the dishwasher off first and wear gloves; Bosch warns some debris may be sharp.
Remove the bottom rack and lift the filter assembly out so the pump cover beneath it is exposed.
Press a spoon under the cover until it clicks, then pull it up to the point of resistance and slide it forward and out.
Sponge out the water, remove anything lodged in the pump, then press the cover back until it locks and reinstall the filter.

Bosch says the drain pump is blocked or the drain pump cover is loose or missing.
At the bottom of the dishwasher below the filter. Bosch says to remove the filter to reach it and to check your owner’s manual if you can’t find it.
Turn the dishwasher off first and go slowly. Bosch notes that some debris may be sharp, so gloves and a spoon are better than bare fingers.
If the cover is seated and the pump opening is clear, the pump itself may be worn or failing. That calls for a technician to test it.
