(469) 638-3215E15 is Bosch’s leak warning. A safety switch in the base of the dishwasher has picked up water, and Bosch’s leakage protection has stepped in.
Bosch’s article explains that with E15 the safety switch has detected water in the base of the dishwasher and the leakage protection system has been activated. Bosch gives one instruction: turn off the water inflow, then get help. On its general dishwasher code index (opens in a new tab), Bosch adds that three beeps usually point to a leak with water pooling at the base, and five beeps commonly mean water at the base is triggering the sensor. Water in the base can come from a loose hose, a worn seal or too many suds, and the source needs to be found before the dishwasher runs again. Source: Bosch E15 article (opens in a new tab).

Bosch names the symptom; these are the usual sources a technician traces.
Bosch’s only owner step is shutting off the water. Do that before anything else.
Turn the valve under the kitchen sink that feeds the dishwasher to off, as Bosch instructs.
Switch the dishwasher’s breaker off and check the floor under the toe kick and the sink cabinet for water.
Bosch directs owners to support from here. Out of warranty, a technician can trace where the water came from and fix it.

We trace Bosch leaks to the hose, seal, valve or pump and quote the fix before we start.

Bosch says the safety switch has detected water in the base of the dishwasher and the leakage protection system has activated.
No. Bosch’s instruction is to turn off the water inflow and get support. Running more cycles can push more water into the base.
Heavy sudsing is one way water ends up in the base. If E15 started right after you used hand soap or a new detergent, mention it when you book.
Bosch gives no wait-and-see advice for E15; its instruction is to shut off the water and get help. Until the source of the water is found, the code is likely to come back.
