Nothing is repaired until you approve it

(469) 638-3215EE is one of the more specific Sub-Zero codes, because the side of the display it appears on tells you which compartment’s sensor is suspect.
On Classic Series (BI) built-ins, Sub-Zero pairs EE with a flashing service wrench; on UC undercounter models, with a flashing Service message. In both, Sub-Zero links the code to a faulty thermistor, the temperature sensor: EE on the left points to the freezer thermistor and EE on the right to the refrigerator thermistor. Sub-Zero states that no troubleshooting is available for this issue and directs owners to its Factory Certified Service, with the code and current temperatures. We measure the thermistor’s resistance, check its wiring and give you the price in writing before replacing it. ALAS has no tie to Sub-Zero’s Factory Certified Service network, so covered units should be reported to Sub-Zero first.

Sub-Zero links EE to a faulty thermistor. On the left side it points to the freezer sensor; on the right, the refrigerator sensor.
Sub-Zero’s EE articles state that no troubleshooting is available and list no reset. The sensor needs to be tested.
Sub-Zero publishes EE articles for Classic Series (BI) built-ins and UC undercounter models, and a separate answer notes that 400 Series units can show Service and EE too.
It depends on the model and access, so we test first and give you a written estimate before any work.
