There is no official boundary for west Plano. The name is commonly used for the side of the city west of US 75, Central Expressway, and DART’s history reflects that split: the transit center at West 15th Street and Coit Road opened in 1989 as the West Plano Transit Center, while the Parker Road station near the highway was once the East Plano Transit Center. Coit Road, Preston Road, the Dallas North Tollway, West Park Boulevard and West Parker Road all cross this side of town.
