(469) 638-3215Smart Oven+ wall ovens power their grill, steamer and baking stone attachments through a hub at the back of the oven. F3E4 is the code for an attachment that lost that connection.
KitchenAid says F3E4 shows when a power attachment was in use and may have come unplugged; it applies to some models only. The Smart Oven+ attachments (+Grill, +Steamer and +Baking Stone) are powered through a hub at the back of the oven cavity. KitchenAid’s steps: roll out the rack, make sure the attachment is in the correct location, and push the roll-out back firmly until a tone sounds, then reset at the breaker if needed. Slide the roll-out back firmly. KitchenAid says a tone sounds when the rack is in place.
Turn the breaker off for one minute, back on, watch for a minute and confirm the oven works normally.

KitchenAid says only some models. It relates to powered attachments, which are a Smart Oven+ feature.
Clear the code first with the reset. If it stays clear, normal baking without the attachment is usually fine; if it returns, book a check.
The +Grill, +Steamer and +Baking Stone attachments, all powered through a hub at the back of the oven.
KitchenAid says a tone sounds when the rack is in place. No tone usually means it isn’t fully seated, or the hub isn’t making contact.
