What F10 Means on a Frigidaire Oven

Frigidaire says F10 indicates your oven is detecting higher-than-normal temperatures, a built-in safety alert titled thermal runaway. For standard ranges and wall ovens, Frigidaire’s instruction is to turn the oven off and let it cool before using it again; its range article adds a reset by cutting power for up to 30 seconds. On models with a stone-baked pizza mode, Frigidaire says the Pizza Shield may simply be in the wrong rack position. Frigidaire names no failed part, so neither do we. Safe Steps for F10

Frigidaire treats F10 as a safety alert, and so should you.

1

Turn it off and let it cool

Frigidaire says to turn the oven off and allow it to cool before using it again. Keep the door closed while it cools.

2

Reset the power

Unplug the range, or switch its breaker off for up to 30 seconds and back on.

3

Pizza models: check the shield

On stone-baked pizza ovens, confirm the Pizza Shield position in your Use & Care guide; Frigidaire lists rack position 7 on some models.

If F10 comes back after cooling and a reset, leave the oven off and book service.→
